Refund and Return Policy

At Ecologic, we stand behind the quality of our products and services. This Refund and Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions for returns, exchanges, and refunds.

Return Eligibility

Products may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase if they meet the following conditions:

  • Products must be unused and in their original condition
  • Products must be in original packaging with all tags and labels attached
  • Proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) must be provided
  • Products must not show signs of wear, damage, or alteration

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Opened or used products (unless defective)
  • Products damaged due to misuse or improper handling
  • Custom or special-order items
  • Sale or clearance items (unless defective)

Defective or Damaged Products

If you receive a defective or damaged product:

  • Contact us within 7 days of receiving the item
  • Provide photographic evidence of the defect or damage
  • We will arrange for replacement or full refund at no additional cost

Return Process

To initiate a return:

  2. Provide Details: Include your order number, reason for return, and photos if applicable
  3. Receive Authorization: Wait for our return authorization and instructions
  4. Ship Product: Return the product using our provided instructions
  5. Receive Refund/Exchange: We will process your request within 7-10 business days of receiving the returned item

Refund Method

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method:

  • Credit/debit card refunds: 7-14 business days
  • Bank transfers: 5-10 business days
  • Cash purchases: Refund via bank transfer

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a product for a different item:

  • The same return eligibility criteria apply
  • Price differences may apply and will be communicated before processing
  • Exchanges are subject to product availability

Return Shipping Costs

  • Standard Returns: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • Defective/Damaged Items: Ecologic will cover return shipping costs
  • Wrong Item Sent: Ecologic will cover return shipping costs and expedite replacement

Restocking Fee

A restocking fee of 15% may apply to returns of opened products or items not in original condition (excluding defective items).

Delivery Area Restrictions

Returns and exchanges are available for products delivered within our service areas of Johannesburg and Pretoria. Special arrangements may be required for areas outside these regions.

Consumer Protection Act Compliance

This policy complies with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA). Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.

Under the CPA, you have the right to:

  • Return goods within 6 months if they are defective
  • Receive a full refund for defective products
  • Cancel orders within the cooling-off period as stipulated by law

Before Delivery

  • Orders may be cancelled before shipment for a full refund

After Delivery

  • Standard return policy applies once products have been delivered

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund within the specified timeframe:

  1. Check your bank account again
  2. Contact your credit card company (processing may take time)
  3. Contact your bank
  4. If you’ve done all of this and still have not received your refund, contact us at info@ecologic.co.za

Partial Refunds

In certain situations, partial refunds may be granted:

  • Products with obvious signs of use
  • Products not in original condition or with missing parts
  • Products returned more than 30 days after delivery
